EXAMINE YOURSELF

Examine Yourself

2 Corinthians 13:5

"Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?" (KJV)

Why Do You Have To Examine Yourself?

1. To ensure you are in the faith
2. To test your spiritual condition
3. To identify areas for growth and improvement
4. To avoid self-deception
5. To maintain spiritual vitality

How to Examine Yourself

1. Reflect on your relationship with God
2. Evaluate your thoughts, words, and actions
3. Consider others' observations and feedback
4. Measure yourself against biblical standards
5. Seek the Holy Spirit's conviction and guidance

Questions to Ask Yourself
A personal examination;
1. Do I truly believe in Jesus Christ as my Savior?
2. Am I living according to God's Word?
3. Do I prioritize word of God, prayer and worship?
4. Am I loving and serving others?
5. Do I exhibit the fruits of the Spirit?

Revelation 2:4-5

[4] Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

[5] Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

*James 1:22-25*

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

[23] For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

[24] For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

[25] But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

These two Bible quotation also shed more light into personal self examination of a correct Christian. The one in revelation chapter 2, unveiled the church of Ephesians who had forgotten their first love. Brethren, is it not written on you? How have you fallen, remember how you started with God? Remember those times you love  Jesus, how you kept faith, how you were so concerned about your spiritual life. Are you still brother Daniel or sister Esther, who was so much in love with Jesus, who loved Psalm 1:1-2 so dearly, 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 was your daily guide.

Are you still the doer of His words, then you will be blessed indeed.

Be saved

What took me to Ori Oke for seven days was the encounter with Apostle Joseph Babalola

*Baba Adeboye said he had an encounter where he drank tea with God and many made mockery of it on social media,*

*What took me to Ori Oke for seven days was the encounter with Apostle Joseph Babalola,*

*His encounters are still unexplainable till today, it takes a spiritual mind to understand what he experienced,*

*How do you explain a python roasted to death by the high spiritual current running through his body?*

*How do you explain the feet of angels physically seen on his altar of prayer?*

*How do you explain him kneeling down and praying until his knees pierced the mountains physically?*

*How do you explain him standing for 72 hours, three whole days praying?*

*If you know spiritual things, you will know that encounters are normal things to a spiritual person but there are higher realms.*

*.....A carnal mind cannot understand the things of the spirit.*

*We may have two hands, two legs, two ears, and one head but let it be known to you that men are not the same.*

*Encounters are not birthed on social media, they are birthed in the secret place.*

*You want to explain how a man drank tea with Jesus, no problem you can go ahead and prove him wrong.*
*But before you go, let me give you more things to explain,*

*Can you explain how Jesus walked on water?*

*Can you explain how Peter's Shadow healed the sick?*

*Can you explain how Peter came out of prison yet the soldiers with him in the same prison cannot explain how he left?*

*When a generation walks away from God, spiritual things become a joke to them.*

Take it to God in prayer

Take it to God in prayer

 1 Peter 5:7

Casting all your care upon him; for he cares for you.

*How do you cast your care upon God?*

1. Surrendering worries and concerns to God.

2. Trusting God's sovereignty and control.

3. Releasing burdens to God's capable hands.

4. Seeking God's guidance and wisdom.

5. Acknowledging God's love and care.

Because he cares for you, make a good use of time today to pray.

Let sing this hymn together,:

What a friend we have in Jesus

All our sins and griefs to bear

What a privilege to carry

Everything to God in prayer

O what peace we often forfeit

O what needless pain we bear

All because we do not carry

Everything to God in prayer

Have we trials and temptations?

Is there trouble anywhere?

We should never be discouraged

Take it to the Lord in prayer

Can we find a friend so faithful

Who will all our sorrows share?

Jesus knows our every weakness

Take it to the Lord in prayer

As you take it to God Almighty today in prayer, you will see result in Jesus name.

Who Find Good Wife or Husband obtain the Favour of God. Proverbs 18:22

He who finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor from the LORD

Proverbs 18:22

To have a good wife or husband is what everyone is praying for, and to have it one need the favor of Lord.  If man is rich does not make him good husband and a poor man does not make to be bad husband.  Likewise beautiful lady is not the evidence of good wife and hugely lady does not make her bad wife.

People says first impression last longer, in marriage a bad husband can impressed you to get what he want, I was told about a man discieved a woman to extend that he followed the woman to church pretend to be converted after their marriage he enforce the woman to change back to Muslim after two kids.

Anybody that marry good husband/wife abtains the favour of the Lord.  That is the reason we don’t need to rush into it. Do not base your affection on physical or material things let base on genuine love, that doesn’t depends beautiful.

What you need to do when search for helpmate

1.    Prayer:   But thou shalt go unto my country, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son Isaac.  And I will make thee swear by the LORD, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt not take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell… And he said O LORD God of my master Abraham, I pray thee, send me good speed this day, and shew kindness unto my master Abraham.   Behold, I stand here by the well of water; and the daughters of the men of the city come out to draw water: And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast shewed kindness unto my master. And it came to pass, before he had done speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham's brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder.  And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up. And she said, Drink, my lord: and she hasted, and let down her pitcher upon her hand, and gave him drink.  And the servant ran to meet her, and said, Let me, I pray thee, drink a little water of thy pitcher. Genesis 24:3-24.

2.    You must have choice.  In the bible passage the savant  have his choice of woman he want for Isaac “... Behold, I stand here by the well of water; and the daughters of the men of the city come out to draw water: And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast shewed kindness unto master ...” Genesis 24:13&14 Let woman I ask to give me water and she voluntarily  give water to me camel be the why of my master and it was done when u read that passage further Isaac love the woman the moment he sees her they both loved each other. God want you to have happy home we will not force what you don’t like on you.

3.    Have Time for courtship period.  That is you must have time to move with each other, take time to study whom you want to marry know him or her very well.  Don’t rush take it slowly if you know your spouse very well it helps marriage to last. And during this time if it is sombody you can’t cope with you can still go back. It is better to have broking relationship than have broking marriage.

To prepare yourself for marriage read this
